What is the basic classification of ball valves?

1. Floating ball valve
The main structural features of floating ball valve are:
(1) The valve has opening and closing position indication;
(2) Locking device;
(3) Anti flying structure of valve rod;
(4) Anti static device;
(5) Fireproof structure;
(6) Unique valve seat sealing structure;
(7) The middle flange (the connecting part between the valve body and the left valve body) has no external leakage structure.
According to different application requirements, floating ball valves are divided into ordinary carbon steel series, stainless steel series, low temperature steel series, sulfur resistant series, etc.
The ball of the floating ball valve is floating. Under the action of medium pressure, the ball can produce a certain displacement and press it on the sealing surface of the outlet end to ensure the sealing of the outlet end. The floating ball valve has simple structure and good sealing performance, but the working medium load borne by the ball is transmitted to the outlet sealing ring. Therefore, it is necessary to consider whether the sealing ring material can bear the working load of spherical medium. When impacted by high pressure, the ball may deviate. This structure is usually used for medium and low pressure ball valves. Floating ball valve is suitable for general industrial use.
2. Fixed ball valve
The ball of the ball valve is fixed and will not move after pressurization. Fixed ball valves are equipped with floating seats. After bearing the medium pressure, the valve seat moves, so that the sealing ring is tightly pressed on the ball to ensure sealing. The bearing is usually installed on the upper and lower shafts of the ball, and the working torque is small. Suitable for high pressure and large diameter valves.
In order to reduce the working torque of the ball valve and improve the reliability of sealing, oil sealed ball valves have appeared in recent years, that is, special lubricating oil is injected between the sealing surfaces to form an oil film, which not only improves the sealing performance, but also reduces the working torque, and is more suitable for high-pressure large-diameter ball valves.
3. Elastic ball valve (i.e. guide rail ball valve)
The ball of elastic ball valve is elastic. The ball valve and valve seat sealing ring are made of metal materials, and the sealing specific pressure is very high. The pressure of the medium itself cannot meet the sealing requirements, and external force must be applied. The valve is suitable for high temperature and high pressure media.
The elastic ball valve is formed by opening an elastic groove at the lower end of the inner wall of the ball to obtain elasticity. When the channel is closed, the wedge head of the valve stem is used to open the ball and compress it with the valve seat to achieve sealing. Before rotating the valve ball, loosen the wedge head, and the valve ball will return to its original shape, so that there is a small gap between the valve ball and the valve seat, which can reduce the friction and working torque of the sealing surface.
4. V-shaped ball valve
V-shaped ball valve is a fixed ball valve and a single seat sealed ball valve. Its regulating performance is the best among ball valves. The flow characteristic is equal percentage, and the adjustable ratio is up to 100:1. Its V-notch has shear effect between metal valve seats, which is especially suitable for media containing fibers, small solid particles, slurry and so on.
5. Three way ball valve
Three way ball valves are T-type and L-type. T-shape can connect three orthogonal pipes, cut off the third channel and play the role of diversion and confluence. L-type can only connect two mutually orthogonal pipelines, and can not maintain the interconnection of the third pipeline at the same time, which only plays the role of distribution.
